Why You Should Constantly be Launching New Ads

Have you ever met a friend after a long time of not seeing them and then asking:

”Hey, what’s OLD with you?”

Of course not.

We want to know what’s NEW in their lives.

We always want to know what’s new. Who cares about old stuff? That’s in the past, it’s not exciting, it doesn’t spark any curiosity in us.

Ad fatigue is a real thing

Social media is one of the best inventions on the internet for a lot of reasons.

It provides the perfect way to reach our target audiences, build deeper, more meaningful connections with potential prospects, and great potential to go mega viral.

But…

Very big but…

It has absolutely and ruthlessly destroyed one thing.

Our attention span.

We’ve all seen the TikTok brain phenomenon develop in real time. Kids no longer able to do their homework, read a book, watch movies, or any video that’s more than 90 seconds, without having Subway Surfers play alongside it.

And it doesn’t just affect the kids. The TikTok brain has slowly over years seeped it’s way into the adult brain as well.

Not because we wanted it to. We NEEDED it to. With so much on our to do lists in our hyper busy day to day lives, and the ad machine firing at you 24/7/365, it’s the only way to stay sane.

A study in 2007 showed that the average person sees around 5,000 ads per day. And today, that number is as high as 10,000 ads per day.

You can probably see now how this results in ad fatigue.

So how do we fix this?

Don’t worry, you won’t have to post cringe TikTok dances.

There’s a better way.

How To Keep Your Prospect Intrigued

The solution to TikTok brain is not to give your prospects tons of easily digestible content in 20-60 second chunks.

The solution is to offer your prospects A LOT of different content.

Videos, articles, tweets, posts. A lot of them. New content daily, or at least weekly.

You have to give them a buffet of options, not just 1.

So if you’re only running 1 ad now? It’s time to do at least 4 different ones.

If you have 1 video for them to see in your re-targeting campaign? It’s time to create 6-10 new ones.

Now go out there and create more for your prospects/clients/customers.

Talk soon,

Jan
